Loneliness is not forever. In this course you will find the most successful and transformational techniques in order to overcome loneliness and find real and deep connection again in your life.

What is (not) Loneliness

Loneliness is NOT being alone. It's NOT being isolated.
Loneliness is the deeply-rooted, painful feeling of being disconnected, different, not belonging, not being felt and understood by the people around you. 
Loneliness in the feeling of disconnection even from your own self. 

Why nowadays?

We live in the most technologically connected period, and yet we are lonelier than ever. Feeling lonely is not something wrong. But when it is treated as a taboo or as something "not supposed to feel", then it generates more negative feelings, such as shame, guilt, which result to less self-confidence and more self-defeating beliefs and behaviors, and hence more loneliness (vicious circle). 
Human connection is powerful. 
In a world of hashtags and followers, genuine connection is what we crave for.

The price we pay for feeling lonely for too long is high.
Our physical health is impacted: physical pain, low immune system, high risk of heart disease, sleep problems.
But also our mental health: stress, anxiety, depression, hopelessness, dissociation, eating disorders, high suicide risk.

About Vassia Sarantopoulou, your trainer

Hi, I'm Vassia. 
I am the Head Psychologist and the proud Founder and Owner of AntiLoneliness, a company offering mental health services in The Netherlands and also Worldwide. 
I am also a Trainer, a Perfectionism Expert and a Mental Health Ambassador. 

I am here to guide you through Loneliness, the other big pandemic of our generation. 

Loneliness is not only for a specific category of people. Loneliness touches everyone at some point in our life. We cannot escape it. But I am here to help you especially when loneliness has become a way of life; when you have been stuck in a vicious cycle of isolation and fear; when making connection seems hopeless and futile. I have been talking and treating clients with deep loneliness for a long time and I know that this is feeling is attached to some deeply-rooted negative thoughts about the self. 

I will use my tools in order to guide you through Loneliness and together we will learn how to embrace and tehn defeat loneliness, and bring more meaningful connections in our life. 

A few things about my 15+ years experience in the field of Psychology:

✔ I am trained in (Group) Schema Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy, among other approaches (CBT, ACT, CFT, Mindfulness). 
✔ I am a member of NIP (Dutch Institute for Psychologists). 
✔ I am a member of ISST (International Society of Schema Therapy) and ICEEFT (International Center of Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy) 
✔ I am collaborating with Universities and Organisations offering workshops and trainings, mainly on Perfectionism, Work Relationships, Burnout and Stress Management. 
✔ Through AntiLoneliness and my team of psychologists, I offer individual, couples or group sessions to those who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, burnout, loneliness, relationship issues, transition/change, expat life.
