For two main reasons:
The first one is to clarify what perfectionism is and what kind of behaviors define it.
In regards to admitting Perfectionism, I have met two kinds of people: those that they proudly admit that they are perfectionists, considering that this is a positive quality to have, and those who deny the fact that they are perfectionists, mainly because they don’t know exactly what this title means. So there is clearly a misunderstanding about what is and what is not perfectionism.
And the second reason is:
Because there is a high chance that you are paying a high price for being a perfectionist, and do you want to know what this high price can be? It can be your anxiety, your depression, your burnout, your emotional eating, your sleeping problems, your relationship issues, your procrastination, your low productivity, your almost zero work-life balance, your loneliness, your physical health, your apathy, emptiness, disconnection and no joy in life.
