A Masterclass with all the tools you need
for LESS Procrastination and MORE Motivation

What is (NOT) Procrastination?

Procrastination is not laziness.
procrastination is not about time management.
procrastination is not always something negative.

Procrastination is an emotional overwhelmness.
Therefore, we cannot change procrastination only by goal setting and time management tips.
It's like trying to fix a car with a kitchen spatula.

Does this sound familiar?

  • Do you get easily distracted about unimportant tasks and activities, and then regret it?
  • Do you read emails several times without making a decision how to respond to them?
  • Do you fill in your time with tasks other people ask you to do and eventually never have time for your tasks?
  • Do you start with important tasks, but then distract yourself with other activities?
  • Do you often believe that you will be better able to complete necessary tasks in the future rather than now?
  • Do you often believe that you function better under pressure and you leave things for the last minute?

Procrastination is more common than you think

95% of us have procrastinated in our lives.

50% of the student population and 20% of the adult population procrastinate in a serious and chronic way.

~~~
And yet, we feel shame to admit procrastination and we beat ourselves up everytime we indulge in non-important but pleasant activities and day-dreaming, instead of completing tasks that would knowingly make our lives better in the future.
For many years, I have worked with procrastinators....
I mean, perfectionists...
Eeeemmm, sorry I mean procrastinating perfectionists...
Or shall I say prefectionistic procrastinators?
To cut a long story short, procractinators share a lot of common ground with perfectionists in regards to emotional and cognitive features as well as coping mechanisms, habits and behaviors.
(In order to check whether you are a perfectionist, and how much of a Perfectionist you are, check my FREE GUIDE here)
So I know WHY people choose to procrastinate,
👉even though that makes them feels worse than before
👉even though this sabotages their own happiness and growth
👉even though it harms their physical and mental health
BECAUSE Procrastination has a gain.
And once we discover that gain, we can start reversing Procrastination.
However, the price we pay for procrastinating is high.
We lose our sleep.
We show up as unreliable.
We have more regrets.
We have more stress.
We suffer from stomach problems and headaches.
We stagnate for long periods.
We damage our self-esteem.
We hurt our relationships.
But it doesn't need to be that way.
